I hope and trust that you are right that this government is facing growing resistance, which will result in a humanist revival. Thank you so much for your clear thinking in this post.

INDEED-

I am angry at some of the men from my family of origin who align with the oligarchy that is tearing apart the American system of government for their own enrichment. These men hide behind their riches and false safety. They only look up towards those who have more than they, and not down at those who are suffering.

And 👉I am angry at our local oligarch here (they are everywhere of course), who feels that it's OK to destroy irreplaceable parts of nature because our unjust laws have allowed him to accumulate enough wealth to do so along with his false empowerment to feel that his vision should prevail.

THANKS SUSAN, GOOD WRITING ON YOUR, MEDITATIONS ON MASCULINTY

Your, welcome and am I a neighbor, 🤔 do not believe so but in spirt or philosophically speaking I would say yes, and many are as well no doubt, are weary of what is happening on the many fronts in America, the assaults to people and planet as relates to the environment

Susan Coleman: YOU are on the right side of history.

I always advert to the work of Johanna Moosdorf, her "Freundinnen" (Girlfriends), with a vision of civilization built upon the Mother Goddess; with reaction to the Third Reich as toxic-testosterone (Frau Moosdorf lost her husband and her well-loved Jewish in-laws to the Third Reich and she NEVER emotionally recovered); and the building of a world on womanly, specifically Sapphic values -- where even the one man truly loved in the Novel was a man but also very feminine (presumably like Paul Bernstein, Moosdorf's well-loved, martyred husband, martyred ca. September 1943 at Auschwitz).

Johanna Moosdorf merits reading and re-reading, especially in her "Freundinnen".

A normal man LOVES the women in his life.

My Walloon (Francophone) Mom from Charleroi was EVERYTHING to me.

My dearest Mom was a young adult during the occupation of Belgium by the Third Reich, and my Mom taught me everything moral, beautiful, cultural, and worthwhile in life.

My Mom's love corrected me but, with hot chocolate and her chocolate mousse, made me feel spoiled.

My LOVE -- Nancy -- 54 years together, 52 years married -- it reminds me of the Bee-Gees: "Where would I be without my woman."

There are so many inadequate men.

But I can tell you, my life is beautiful for the women in my life, very much including, too, my two daughters and my 18-year-old granddaughter.

I have had woman-lawyer bosses, and they were my BEST.

The women lawyers I worked with in Navy Office of General Counsel were without exception at the TOP of their profession.

The same with the woman-physicists at the two Navy laboratories I counseled within Navy Office of General Counsel.

I only feel happy in environments including empowered women and their girls.

That is quite natural and normal.

God bless you for bringing this inspirational post, that I will read again and again!

Thank you Armand! Is there a piece of writing by Moosdorf that you especially recommend?

Thank you for separating masculine from patriarchy. As much as I love Campbell, women do not fare well in his world of mythology... mostly because it's permeated with patriarchy.

Thanks for your comment, Gia. Seems inevitable as patriarchy permeates just about everything. But thinking that doesn’t undercut my basic message there, do you? Thanks for reading and warm regards….
